Why did you choose Basils Farm for your wedding?

A while before we were engaged we had a lovely date at Basil’s farm, we were blown away by the natural beauty, the amazing garden, charm and stunning cuisine and wine. The day that we got engaged, (which was also Tamsin’s birthday) we had a celebration lunch at Basil’s farm. We started thinking about what a wonderful place it would be to get married! After some enquiries we booked the date, it felt like the perfect choice for what we wanted.

How did you find the planning process?

The planning process was great, the staff were super attentive and helpful. We had a few meetings and went over checklists. There was also a food and wine tasting evening which was delightful!

What was your favourite moment on your big day?

Our favourite moment of the day was the “first look” it was so special to see each other and soak in the fact that this was our wedding day! The day went by so fast, but we loved every minute of. Seeing all our family and friends together and sharing in our happiness, felt so wonderful.

Can you tell me about your styling inspiration?

We went for a classic look with a modern twist for our wedding. The natural beauty of Basil’s Farm combined with fairy lights, bunting, candles, white tablecloths and white peonies looked superb!

What are some words of wisdom for future Basils couples?

Our words of wisdom would be, spring is beautiful, but the weather can be unpredictable! We loved having a live band on the day, our guests really enjoyed it and it was a real highlight! Our main advice, which sounds cliche, is soak up the day, it will go by so fast and make sure you take some moments to stand back and enjoy it all.
