Why did you choose Basils Farm for your wedding?

We visited a lot of local venues, but none of them stood out like Basils Farm. We had never been to Basils Farm before, but we knew as soon as we visited, that it was the place we wanted to have our wedding. From the stunning venue to the paddock to plate menu, we knew it was the one for us!

How did you find the planning process?

The Planning process was really good. We were presented with lots of variety and options so that we could ensure the day was exactly how we wanted it. We like to be organised and had a lot of questions, Talla was great value and more than happy to answer all of our queries. We soon learnt, there is no such thing as a silly question!

What was your favourite moment on your Big Day?

All of it, It was seriously PERFECT! We even got a rainbow! Lucky enough to get this in our professional photo’s.

Tell us about your styling inspirations?

We wanted a relaxed, semi-formal wedding with lots of greenery, as we both love the environment. Basils gave us just that. The location of a winery overlooking the water was a spectacular setting and everything we could have dreamed of.

What are some words of wisdom for future Basils brides?

Be in the moment and enjoy it. Enjoy the booking and planning process, the lead-up, the day before, the day. It’s all part of the fun. And on the day, take a moment, a deep breath, look out at everyone and remember that all the guests, your closest friends and family are there for you guys. Enjoy!
